The app should have the ability to download a photo from Apple or Google photos.
The app as currently constituted only permits the use of the camera to capture a photo. Additional upload options should be provided.

I have photos of parking abuse by a non-handicap person and wondered why the app won’t offer a place to upload them?

I’ve been around awhile seen a few things. This reply is ridiculous. I’m not saying it isn’t true. Let’s look at it. So I have so much time in my life to edit photos to what end? Make sure it’s a violation ? I don’t actually have the time and I’m already frustrated that I have to report people so I’m definitely not taking any more time out of my life to edit photos. Can no one see the problem here? Lawyers are the world’s biggest terrorists. Every lawyer wants an edge so we use the term “technically technicality technical”. Come on people. Let’s use common sense, respect, logic, here. Maybe let’s try “how would you feel if it was you or your family”. Maybe if we outlawed stupid lawsuits the world would turn around. Police fire ems hazmat truckers and every day people use photos and videos from their phone in court everyday and it wasn’t directly uploaded right from the camera. Even still how many edited photos are we talking? Just like anything else in life some things slip thru the cracks. But there is always evidence to prove it. I know not every wheelchair bound person is honest and upstanding but again what’s the number? Very low. To me it’s a calculated risk. I have more then my share to worry about with the SCI life I have zero time to edit photos make false reports or deal with the technicality of others ignorance. Very serious question how many violations have ended up in court and what is the total number of violations sent out to people? I find it hard to believe that these violations are so expensive that a lawsuit is the option. Or as stated they are given the option to spend some time learning about the parking situation, why would someone sue over watching some videos and maybe some reading ? Hey I love that this app is possible. It’s a start but it still feels like we are purposely limited. Another question. When Rosevelt was president in his wheel chair was he limited?? No!!! So if we move heaven and earth for 1 person way back in 1932 then why are we so far behind after millions in wheelchairs and 93 years later ??

We are unable to accept photos that are not taken within the Parking Mobility App, or uploads or emails of pictures not taken within the Parking Mobility App because when taking the photos in the App we are collecting all data necessary for a report as our law enforcement partners require. We also ensure photos cannot be altered, thus preserving the chain of evidence, a requirement of our law enforcement and judicial partners. Without this security measure, the evidence collected would not be admissible in court. Also, if the photos we collected resided on your phone or other device at any point and not originally on our servers, a defense attorney could subpoena your device and hold it for inspection in the event of a trial.
